Visit to St. Vincent

So after all my horrible quizes and my depressing grades I decided to pick up and take a vacation for the weekend. I travelled to the island of St. Vincent which is just one island hop north of Grenada. St. George's University actually sends its medical students to St. V for their 5th and 6th semesters where they actually start doing some clinical rounds and seeing patients (performing histories ect). The island is so beautiful. I am very jelous that SGU does not send us there for a semester or two. My purpose of the visit was to visit my med friends that I miss so much this semester. Lisa, Tonja, and Celeste especially.....but many many others. It was so wonderful to get all caught up on everything. We all picked up right where we left off. Next semester (Starting in December) they all will be splitting up and going all diffrent places as they start their internships. So many of them that I saw this past weekend, I don't know if I will ever see again. On Saturday we climbed the volcano that made the island. We started out hitching a ride with L and T's classmates and then hiked from about 8:15am to 6:00pm from the East coast up the volcano, down into the crater and back up, and then out down the West coast until we ran into a town and caught a bus back to Lisa's place. We had a great time!!!! It was a really good break from Grenada before midterms!!
It rained off and on
all morning!! Pic to the left is at the edge of the crater where we repelled down the mountainside. The fog was
so thick that we could
barely see anything...and
it was COLD and WET!!!
(reminded me of a Texas
winter :) ) The island is so beautiful!!!
Just take a glance at the rest of the pictures. There are even more.....but I could not include all of them....could I make you anymore jelous???

Hi Heidi,

I've started an informational site for student's considering and attending SGU. While most of what I've written applies to medstudents, I think people could benefit from the Vet perspective as well. I have included a link to your website under "Other Resources." If you would like me to remove it, I have no problem with that. Please contact me with any questions.

Sincerely, topher.
